Since graduating at the Royal College of Art Jeremy has gained a worldwide reputation for the high quality and
unique designs of his typefaces. He initially worked with major consultancies, advising and creating typography for some of the best known international brand names. When Jeremy Tankard Typography was created in 1998, the idea was to design new typefaces and offer a service for typographic design to suit clients own requirements. From the outset the aim of the company was to create, manufacture and retail high quality digital type, whilst always keeping in touch with current computer standards and techniques. The current typeface collection from JTT includes Bliss, Enigma and Shaker, which are being used around the world for a variety of editorial and corporate related work. In addition to the standard collection, some companies are benefiting from specially commissioned typefaces. Jeremy is a member of ATypI (Association Typographique Internationale) and has lectured on typography and given workshops at a number of colleges; his work has received numerous awards. He is happily married, lives in Lincoln, England and spends his spare time – designing new typefaces. |
