Wedding stationery is the one area where formal scripts are the first choice. Many of the early script designs such as Palace have small x-heights, so while they look refined, they are often hard to read particularly in silver. This is why most modern formal scripts such as the Snell and Poppl series have greater x-heights. However the upright French Rondes are still very popular for such a special occasion and even gothics are sometimes chosen.
