| The essence of good packaging typography is bold, good quality typefaces with individuality. It is one of the areas of the Graphic Arts where the subtleties of the stressed sans serifs, such as Optima, are appreciated and large wedge serif faces like Meridien are used successfully. The special characteristics of these faces becomes the brand image of the product. This is probably why distressed type is rarely seen in packaging. |
